Today I found out, what is the hype about Sony PlayStation 3 all about.
PS 3 = 2 TFlops = 602 * Intel Pentium 4 Xeon 2800 MHz (5.6 GFlops)
And it will come with Linux .....

Where does it say that it will come with Linux?
There will be an optional hard drive module and that will come with an official version of Linux.

i would be very sceptical about sonys specs. sony has said 218 gflops for processor, and 1.8 gflops for graphocs chip (356gflops oof that programmable with shaders).. I doubt you can get linpack report 2tflops with that setting.. still, pretty insane performance.
